Blu, an intelligent macaw bird that does not fly lives a comfortable life with Linda in Minnesotta. Out of the blue, Brazilian ornithologist visits and explains that Blu is the last male of his species alive and they must come to Rio de Janeiro to mate with female macaw Jewel and save their species. So that’s the plot, quite featherweight. But the brightly-colored visual, upbeat music and funny characters will delight the entire family.
