X-Men: First Class (2011)

The end is the beginning. Just when I thought the X-Men franchise was finished (yes, The Last Stand and Wolverine sucked), comes the classy prequel, powered with strong script, marvelous performances from its casts, blast high tech SFX and superhuman direction by Matthew Vaughn. The year is 1962, soon-to-be Professor X (James McAvoy) starts recruiting humans with superhuman abilities. Among them is soon-to-be Magneto (Michael Fassbender), his best friend … and future nemesis. Together with stunning CIA agent Moira McTaggert (Rose Byrne), they’re gonna Kick-Ass Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon), the super absorb energy mutant with super plan to bring the world at nuclear Armageddon. In the end, this pre-boot is a fine addition, succeeded in re-establishing these characters in a superb and interesting manner. Can't wait for another sequel.
